Job summary

RadNet in California is seeking candidates for a trainee mammography technologist role designed to complete a 40-hour mammography training course with 8 additional hours in digital mammography. The program includes hands-on mammography training to prepare for the ARRT mammography registry and culminates in becoming a full-time technologist with RadNet once certified.

You'll complete 8 hours of tomosynthesis training, with RadNet reimbursing costs, and you'll pass the Mammography Licensing Exam.

Qualifications

• Current State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and ARRT (R) certification.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Interest and ability to learn advanced radiology procedures such as Tomosynthesis, biopsies, and related procedures.
• Resilient, adaptable and compassionate demeanor with patients.
• Ability to act quickly in emergent situations.

Responsibilities

You Will

• Complete a 40-hour initial Mammography Training Course Webinar with 8 hours of training in digital mammography included (Radnet will reimburse you).
• Complete 8-hours of training in Tomosynthesis (Radnet will reimburse you).
• Be provided hands‑on training in mammography in preparation for the ARRT mammography registry.
• Pass the required Mammography Licensing Exam.
• Become a full‑time mammography technologist with RadNet once certified.
• Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.
• Safeguard any onsite medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information onsite or on patient portals.
• Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrate the ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

Role

• A current State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and ARRT (R) certification.

Pay Range: $26.00 – $32.00 per hour
