Job summary

Ascension Health’s Optimal Imaging St. Vincent’s in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in mammography to perform advanced breast imaging and ensure patient comfort.

You will educate patients on procedures and breast health, review images before PACS submission, and maintain strict radiation safety and equipment standards. The department handles Outpatient Imaging workflows, with a day shift, full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed by Florida Department of Health before hire date.
• ARRT Mammography registry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced mammography procedures with precise positioning and parameter selection.
• Educate patients on procedures and breast health.
• Evaluate image quality for optimal contrast and definition before PACS submission.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and equipment maintenance standards.
• Manage departmental workflows including equipment troubleshooting and room upkeep.

Education

Associate's/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative experience

BLS within 1 month

Florida Radiologic Technologist license
