Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiographic Technology.
• 3 years of radiography required, mammography experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Health Information System.
• Good communication skills.
• Licensed Radiographic Technology by the IDNS; CPR certification; ARRT radiography and mammography registration.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate Mammography technique and position for patients based on anatomy and condition.
• Position patient, adjust equipment, immobilization and support devices as necessary.
• Operate mammography/radiographic equipment and maintain supplies to ensure adequate levels.
• Maintain shielding and radiation safety measures for patients and staff.
• Maintain patient records, schedule exams and ensure timely flow of appointments.
• Perform QC activities per ACR guidelines and report malfunctions to supervisor.
