Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Per Diem Mammography Technologist to perform scans and procedures, including stereotactic breast biopsies, in a busy Radiology department in Los Angeles. The role emphasizes patient education and safety in a high-volume setting.

Ideal candidates have an accredited Mammography program, ARRT certification, California Mammography certification, and a BLS credential, with 3 years of Mammography experience preferred. Weekend coverage with some weekday shifts required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Each year, almost 500,000 inpatient and outpatient exams and procedures are performed and interpreted at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Summary of Essential Duties:

As a Per Diem Mammography Technologist, you will perform a broad range of scans/procedures from basic to somewhat complex relative to a specific patient population and may assist physicians in performing procedures as well as transport medications from the delivery area to an authorized imaging area. This includes needle and radar localizations, as well as stereotactic breast biopsies. You will exercise your cultural competency in providing patient education and maintain a safe environment by identifying and reporting any safety concerns.

The primary schedule for this position will be weekend coverage with some weekday shifts as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Mammography program required

License/Certifications:

• ARRT(R) certifications required
• State of California Mammography certification required
• BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required

Experience:

• 3 years of Mammography experience preferred
