Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL is seeking a PRN Mammography Technician to perform imaging procedures and ensure patient safety. This role requires an AL State Radiation Operator license and ARRT certification, and an Associate's degree or equivalent program completion.

You will educate patients, prepare contrast if needed, monitor exams, and help maintain MQSA standards while documenting results.

Qualifications

• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician's orders; educate patient regarding procedures and exam.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered.
• Position patient and perform imaging procedures; monitor patient status and respond to changes as needed.
• Ensure MQSA compliance and document results; enter, transmit and report scan results.
