Regional Medical Imaging in Davison, MI is seeking a Mammography Technical Assistant to support the Mammography team with patient preparation, workflow coordination, image management, and clerical duties. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort patients through the mammography process.
  • Assist patients with check-in, questionnaires, and required documentation.
  • Prepare examination rooms between patients.
  • Provide patient education regarding exam preparation and expectations.
  • Maintain patient comfort, dignity, and privacy throughout the visit.
  • Assist patients with mobility challenges as needed.
  • Support mammography technologists in maintaining patient flow.
  • Verify patient demographics and examination orders.
  • Monitor daily schedules and assist with appointment coordination.
  • Communicate delays and workflow updates to patients and staff.
  • Coordinate prior imaging retrieval and transfer requests.
  • Import and reconcile outside imaging studies.
  • Assist with image tracking and exam reconciliation.
  • Verify that required documentation is available in the electronic medical record.
  • Support radiologists and technologists with administrative imaging tasks.
  • Maintain exam room cleanliness and readiness.
  • Stock supplies and monitor inventory levels.
  • Report equipment issues and assist with routine quality assurance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and safety protocols.
  • Participate in departmental process improvement initiatives.
