Summit Health in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in mammography to join our physician-led, patient‑centered team. You will produce high‑quality mammography images, ensure patient safety with proper exposure and shielding, and educate patients about the procedures and what to expect.

The ideal candidate has ARRT registration with an advanced Mammography credential, plus BLS and a current radiography license.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT Registered (R) required with advanced Mammography registry.
• NJ State Radiographer License required in good standing.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 2+ years’ experience performing Mammography.

Responsabilidades

• Produce quality mammography images for interpretation.
• Ensure patient safety with proper exposure and shielding.
• Educate patients about procedures and obtain relevant history.
• Follow departmental protocols and coordinate with Radiologists.
• Maintain accurate patient and study data in PACS.
• Adhere to infection control standards and ALARA principles.

Job Description

Essential Job functions

• Produces quality mammography images for interpretation.
• Assumes responsibility for patient safety by utilizing proper exposure and protective measures.
• Educates and explains procedures to patients.
• Follows appropriate departmental protocol for procedures unless otherwise specified by the Radiologist.
• Obtains and documents, patient history and pertinent information.
• Insures proper identification of patient and patient demographics in PACS.
• Communicates with attending Radiologists and verifies provider orders.
• Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care.
• Prioritizes and organizes work assignments and adjusts priorities, based on changing business situations.
• Operates medical imaging equipment properly and safely.
• Demonstrates awareness of Radiation Safety Procedures for self and others.
• Ensure equipment is in acceptable condition by conducting routine quality control checks.
• Follows department protocols in the production of screening and diagnostic mammograms.
• Follows regulatory guidelines and performs QA/QC as mandated by ACR/ MQSA.
• Follows mammography procedures for needle localizations and stereotactic biopsies as required.

General Job functions

• Demonstrate knowledge and compliance of safety, OSHA, and HIPPA regulations.
• Must be organized, self-motivated and efficient while working well with others in a team setting.
• Must always deliver compassionate patient care with satisfaction a priority.
• Must adhere to ALARA principles while delivering quality, safe patient imaging at all times.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
• Other job duties as required.
• Attends departmental meetings as required.

Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) (R) required
• Advanced registry in Mammography, (M), required
• Must have current NJ State Radiographer License in good standing.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• 2+ years’ experience performing Mammography required.
• The ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Must be familiar with and utilize an Electronic Medical Record System, RIS and PACS System.

Travel

• Ability to travel to satellite locations as needed
