Job summary

Henry Ford Health seeks a Radiologic Mammography Technician to perform breast imaging studies under the direction of a Radiologist. You will adhere to MQSA standards and department protocols, ensuring patient safety and image quality during diagnostic and screening exams.

Ideal candidates are ARRT registered in Mammography (or registry-eligible with completion within 12 months) and committed to ongoing education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ARRT registered with Mammography (ARRT(M)) or registry eligible.
• If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire.
• Must maintain the required hours of continued medical education.
• Must meet MQSA criteria and other regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs Radiologic breast imaging procedures.
• Follows department protocols and safety practices to ensure image quality and patient safety.
• Monitors patient positioning and comfort during procedures to optimize diagnostic quality.
• Maintains MQSA compliance and accurate documentation of procedures.
• Participates in continuing education and quality assurance activities as required.

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs Radiologic breast imaging procedures for the evaluation of pathological entities as ordered by a physician. Performs related functions according to department protocols. Utilizes independent judgment in determining appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M) (or registry eligible).
• If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire.
• Failure to obtain registry within the designated timeframe will result in termination of the Mammography Tech position.
• Must maintain the required hours of continued medical education.
• Must meet all Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) criteria, as well as other regulatory agencies.
