Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL is seeking a Mammographer to perform specialized radiographic imaging under supervision, supporting radiologists in diagnosis and treatment. The role includes direct patient care, involvement in facility quality and safety initiatives, and adherence to regulatory standards. Some travel to imaging facilities is required.

This part-time position (<60% FTE) offers a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 and a comprehensive benefits package. Required: ARRT certification, state fluoroscopy permit, and mammography certification.

Qualifications

• Licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Advanced certification in the field of Mammography.
• Experience as radiology technologist.
• Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
• Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards.
• Ability to travel to imaging facilities and RIS/HIS experience.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Director of Radiology Services, the Mammographer actively participates in the performance of specialized radiographic imaging procedures which assist the radiologists in the diagnosis and treatment of medical disorders. The Mammographer will participate in direct patient care, facility quality and safety initiatives as well as local and federal regulations. Assist with complex and sensitive patient and patient family issues. Ensures quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Advanced certification in the field of Mammography.
• Current experience as a radiology technologist.
• Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
• Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards.
• Ability to travel to all imaging facilities both regularly and without notice.
• Experience in Hospital Information Services (HIS)/Radiology Information System (RIS).
