Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet in Joliet, IL, is seeking a part-time Mammographer in the Radiology department to perform specialized imaging procedures to support radiologists.

Under supervision, you will participate in direct patient care, contribute to facility quality and safety initiatives, and help with sensitive patient and family communications while ensuring safe, high-quality care for all ages.

Qualifications

• State licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Advanced mammography certification.
• Experience as a radiology technologist.
• Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
• Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory standards.
• Ability to travel to all imaging facilities.
• Experience in HIS/RIS.

Overview

• Department: Radiology
• Schedule: Part-time
• Facility: Prime Healthcare- St Joseph Hospital
• Location: 333 Madison St, Joliet IL

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Director of Radiology Services, the Mammographer actively participates in the performance of specialized radiographic imaging procedures which assist the radiologists in the diagnosis and treatment of medical disorders. The Mammographer will participate in direct patient care, facility quality and safety initiatives as well as local and federal regulations. Assist with complex and sensitive patient and patient family issues. Ensures quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Advanced certification in the field of Mammography.
• Current experience as a radiology technologist.
• Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
• Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards.
• Ability to travel to all imaging facilities both regularly and without notice.
• Experience in Hospital Information Services (HIS)/Radiology Information System (RIS).
