Job summary

Hmixray in Maryland is seeking a Mammography Technologist/Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team. You will perform high-quality mammographic exams and other radiologic procedures with a strong emphasis on patient care and safety.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure, BLS, and at least one year of diagnostic imaging experience. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities to advance in a patient-focused, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) certification required.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
• BLS certification.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment and related devices per policies.
• Perform high-quality radiologic exams on patients.
• Produce diagnostic quality images promptly while ensuring patient care.
• Adjust compression, exposure modes, KvP, Mas, grid, focal spot size, AEC and related settings to obtain quality images.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical issues.
• Explain procedures and answer patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures.
• Address physician questions and needs regarding patients.

You Will:

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Perform high quality radiologic exams on incoming patients.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:
