Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology is required.
• Advanced ARRT Mammography registry within six months of hire.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient ID armband and validates proof of identity.
• Reviews patient mammography history and correlates prior mammograms to ensure correct exam.
• Performs digital imaging acquisition and recognizes factors affecting image acquisition and retrieval.
• Evaluates image quality and consults radiologist as needed.
• Assists radiologist during invasive procedures and maintains sterile technique.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and assists with basic repairs under supervision.
• Maintains patient records including orders, charges, and verification of exams sent to PACS.
