Job summary

Community Care Physicians is hiring a Medical Imaging Technologist, Mammography in Latham, NY. This full-time role requires rotating evenings and weekends and willingness to travel to other ImageCare locations.

Compensation ranges from $39.00 to $47.00 per hour with a comprehensive rewards package. Qualified candidates must hold a NY State radiologic license, meet MQSA requirements, and have mammography training.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current New York State radiologic technology license.
• MQSA mammography requirements must be met.
• Completed mammography-specific training with supervised clinical experience.
• Schedule flexibility incl. evenings/weekends/emergency coverage.
• Maintain continuing education in mammography.
• Experience in screening and diagnostic mammography preferred.
• Experience with digital mammography and 3D mammography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and ensure comfort and privacy.
• Verify patient identity and exam request; confirm correct procedure and site.
• Obtain consent before procedures as required.
• Position patients and instruct on the procedure.
• Set up equipment and apply imaging protocols to optimize exposure.
• Adjust techniques to improve image quality.
• Assist physicians during exams and handle contrast media when needed.
• Post-process images and transfer to PACS; ensure timely completion.
• Adhere to ALARA and maintain radiation safety.
