Job summary

Apex Home Health, Hospice & Home Care is seeking a Mammographer to perform mammography procedures including screening, diagnostic, and interventional studies under physician supervision. You will use x-ray technology to aid diagnosis while ensuring patient safety and image quality.

Responsibilities include operating mammography equipment and related systems (HIS, RIS, PACS), positioning patients, coordinating exams, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Graduated from a radiologic technology program with ARRT certification.
  • Mammography certification must be obtained within six months of eligibility.
  • Valid state radiographer license and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate mammography equipment and support systems with technical precision.
  • Perform screening, diagnostic, and interventional mammography under physician supervision.
  • Position patients accurately and ensure optimal image quality while maintaining safety.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and provide compassionate care.
  • Coordinate exams across departments and communicate with staff, patients, and families.
  • Handle scheduling, documentation, and equipment maintenance; report issues promptly.
  • Participate in quality improvement and ensure supplies are stocked.
  • Access and administer relevant medications per procedures.

Radiologic technology program
ARRT certification in radiography
