Job summary

Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas (CHC/SEK) seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic mammography and other imaging duties. You will ensure safety, accuracy, and compassionate patient care while supporting cross-functional teams in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities include equipment operation, image QA, and timely communication with radiologists, with opportunities to train unlicensed staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program.
• Current Kansas LRT license.
• Current ARRT with RT(R) credentials; ARRT(M) preferred.
• BLS through the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license; travel may be required with limited driving violations.
• Bilingual in Spanish or Marshallese preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic mammography exams per orders and safety standards.
• Verify patient identity, review history, explain the procedure with care.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mammography equipment and PACS.
• Evaluate images for quality and transmit to Radiologist for interpretation.
• Document patient info and results in appropriate systems timely.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure efficient workflows and patient services.
• Cross-train in other imaging modalities when needed.
