Job summary

UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a full-time Mammographer to join our radiology team in the Pittsburgh area. You will perform diagnostic mammography procedures, communicate clearly with patients, and participate in comprehensive breast imaging services across multiple local imaging sites.

New graduates and experienced Mammographers will receive training. Compensation is based on experience and education, with a focus on high-quality patient care and professional development within a leading

Qualifications

ARRT radiologic technology credential required.
Mammography training that meets MQSA requirements within 30 days of hire.
BLS or CPR as per AHA standards within 30 days of hire.
Act 34 background check completed.

Responsibilities

Perform mammography procedures with proper breast compression and positioning.
Provide breast self-exam instruction and annual clinical breast exam counseling.
Identify patients using two identifiers and document histories in the electronic record.
Operate imaging equipment and ensure exams are coded, archived, and interpreted.
Assist with ultrasound, needle biopsy, clip placement, ductograms, and related procedures.
Ensure equipment quality control and radiation safety; venipuncture if required.
