Job summary

Johnston-Willis Hospital is seeking a Mammographer to deliver high-quality mammograms, adapt to patient morphology, and support MQSA compliance. The role requires ARRT-R radiography and ARRT-M mammography credentials, BLS within 30 days, vocational training, and at least one year of experience as a staff mammographer.

The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates and comprehensive benefits as part of HCA Healthcare in Greater Richmond. Remote work is not indicated.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT-R Radiography
• Vocational School Graduate
• ARRT-M Mammography, or Mammographic Radiologic Technologist
• One Year exp as Staff Mammographer

Responsibilities

• Obtains quality mammograms with the ability to adapt to specific patient morphology.
• Complies with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self. Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment.
• Operates radiographic equipment safely and competently and ensures proper charges and orders.
• Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
• Prepares examination rooms for mammography procedures and maintains room cleanliness.
• Assists in QA and MQSA policy implementation and documentation.
• Reviews exams for technical accuracy and verifies in PACS.
• Assists with filing, phones, and other duties as needed.
• Maintains ongoing educational requirements.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and employee information.
