Job summary

Yale New Haven Health in Bridgeport, Connecticut, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience, including mammography, and must hold a State of CT Licensure and ARRT (R) (M).

You will be responsible for ensuring patient care and quality management in a team-oriented environment, participating in training for radiology students and staff, and maintaining comprehensive quality control practices.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures within assigned areas.
  • Perform all mammographic procedures, OC tests, and maintain accurate records according to ACR guidelines.
  • Review all necessary documentation and consults to perform diagnostic procedures.
  • Perform preventative visual and manual inspections for each radiographic room/equipment assigned, ensuring appropriate maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Participate in the training, development and instruction of staff and radiology students.
  • Demonstrate basic leadership skills and professional growth.
  • Accurately enter all applicable information and charges for procedures.
  • Plan and implement care for assigned patients.
  • Contribute to an effective quality management and quality control program for the assigned area, consistent with the overall departmental/hospital plan.
  • Chaperone patients when necessary.
Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Minimum of three years experience as RT; mammography experience preferred.

Licensure

State of CT Licensure. ARRT (R) (M)

Physical Demand

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. They may frequently be required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell. They may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
