Job summary

Shared Medical Services is seeking a Mammographer/Radiology Technologist to join our team in a full-time capacity. You will operate a state-of-the-art mobile mammography unit and provide imaging services at clinics, corporate sites, and community outreach locations in the Twin Cities metro area.

Qualifications

• Must have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Graduate of an approved 2-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registered with ARRT or licensed to perform general radiographic procedures.
• Willing to train in mammography; able to drive a 26’ straight truck.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography screening at clinics, corporate and community sites in the Twin Cities metro area.
• Operate and accompany a mobile mammography unit; drive between locations.
• Relocate the mobile unit safely per DOT rules and regulations.
• Produce high-quality images with minimal supervision.

Mammographer / Radiology Technologist | Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Mammographer to join our growing team. Unlike typical travel roles, this position offers a unique opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art mobile scanner while serving local and diverse communities. This role provides flexibility of different environments while being a part of a stable, full-time, employee-centric organization. You’ll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with various healthcare facilities and become a key member of our Shared Medical Services ONETEAM.

Anticipated Schedule:

• Paid hotel lodging for overnight stay, if applicable

Responsibilities

• Screening mammography at clinics, corporate and community outreach locations within the Twin Cities metro area
• Team of two mammographers or one mammographer and an assistant working together on a 26’ straight truck equivalent mobile mammography unit equipped with Hologic 3D mammography system
• Safely relocate the equivalent to 26’ straight truck to medical facilities along a dedicated route in accordance with DOT rules and regulations
• Mammographers and/or assistants drive the mobile unit to the screening locations

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved 2-year Radiologic Technology program
• Must be registered with ARRT, American Registry of Clinical Radiologic Technologists or Licensed to perform general radiographic procedures
• Prefer 40 hours of training in mammography. Willing to train
• Ability to drive or experience driving equivalent to 26’ straight truck. Willing to train
• Ability to produce quality imaging with limited supervision
• Must be able to interact in responsible, professional and ethical manner
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Must possess valid Class D Drivers’ License. CDL NOT REQUIRED
• Must have acceptable driving record
• Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check, urine drug screen and physical
• Must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills
