Riverside Diagnostic Center - Williamsburg is recruiting a Mammographer Quality Control Stereo Tech to perform mammography and stereotactic exams, maintain QC procedures, and ensure patient safety under ALARA guidelines.

The role requires ARRT Mammography (M) certification upon hire and CPR/BLS certification, with weekend shifts and the possibility to float to multiple locations within Riverside Health System.

Qualifications

• Mammography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete mammographic imaging studies and present for diagnosis.
• Produce quality images following protocols and procedures.
• Provide clinical documentation per scope of practice.
• Prepare equipment, instrumentation, and supplies to support patient care.
• Adhere to ALARA principles and safety policies.
• Coordinate patient care and document actions.
• Monitor inventory to ensure uninterrupted service.

Williamsburg, VirginiaHiring Range$34.40 - $47.30/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.OverviewThe Mammographer Quality Control Stereo Tech is responsible for performing mammography and stereotactic exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. Performs all mammography and stereotactic exams and QC procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Performs patient preparation and explanation of exams, responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, and completes all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation.What you will doCompletes mammographic imaging studies and presents them for diagnosis. Produces quality images following appropriate protocols and procedures. Provides clinical documentation per scope of practice.Performs with a high degree of safety and quality and prevents or reduces harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, protocols using safety behaviors. Responsible for the preparation of equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care. Follows ALARA principles according to policy.Coordinates patient care and performs effective assessment, actions, and documentation. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards. Reports variances.Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Troubleshoots and ensures equipment functionality.
