Job summary

HHM Health seeks a Mammographer with general radiology and mammography experience for our Dallas Imaging Center on a per diem basis. You will prepare patients, position, and operate imaging equipment to produce diagnostic views.

Focus on safety, comfort, and a superior patient experience in a fast-paced setting. Requirements include TX Radiologic Technologist licensure, ARRT certification, AMA-approved Radiology Tech program, plus BLS and about 1 year of related experience; bilingual skills are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates preferred.
• Current TX Radiologic Technologist licensure required, ARRT certification required.
• Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiology Technology and MQSA compliance.
• Current BLS certification and 1+ year related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic and/or mammography procedures.
• Escort patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, position body parts for imaging.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort during scans.
• Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Position equipment and set exposure parameters per exam specs.
• Take scans following radiologic requirements and regulations.
• Develop and process radiologic film.
• Create superior patient experience.
• Work with a diverse patient population in Dallas.

We are seeking a Mammographer with experience in general radiology and mammography to join our new Imaging Center on a per diem (as needed) basis. As part of our CARES-giver team, you will play a provide imaging services to our patients.

Here’s a Sneak Peek At What You’ll Do

• Prepare patients for radiologic and/or mammography procedures.
• Escort patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, provide verbal and/or written instructions and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed.
• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during scan.
• Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
• Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination.
• Take scans following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
• Develop and process radiologic film.
• Create superior patient experience.
• Work with a diverse patient population in the heart of Dallas.

What You Need To Succeed

To become one of our CARES-givers, you will have excellent patient engagement, strong communication skills, and promote teamwork. You will also have the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates preferred
• Current TX Radiologic Technologist licensure required, ARRT certification required.
• Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiology Technology and meets the MQSA guidelines
• Current BLS certification
• 1 years related experience, community health care experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish, Pashto, Rohinyga, or Burmese is a plus
• Attention to detail and a have high sense of urgency.
• Must display good judgment, maintains confidentiality, sound decision-making, and be able to work independently, as needed.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and display strong patient service skills.
