Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Radiology Manager, the Mammogram Technologist is responsible for the provision of radiological services to patients according to physicians’ orders. Provides for patient safety and high quality testing.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited or registered school of Radiologic Technology.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in Mammography.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Certified by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT). Mammogram registered. American Heart Association BLS required.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of regulations, QA and procedures, and quality patient care. Ability to generate quality images in a timely manner. Successful completion of department specific and/or hospital required training courses.
