Job description

Join to apply for the Mammo Technologist role at CHI.

Responsibilities include:

1. Producing high-quality mammographic images meeting all licensing and regulatory standards as directed by the St. Vincent Breast Center Policy and Procedure Manual.
2. Performing screening, diagnostic, and special mammography procedures in accordance with policies and radiologist specifications.
3. Conducting biopsy procedures such as Mammatome, ABBI, Wire/needle localization.
4. Completing clerical tasks to support mammography procedures in the absence of staff.
5. Ensuring all paperwork/documentation related to mammographic procedures is complete and accurate.
6. Cleaning and properly returning all equipment and supplies used.
7. Recording mammography data on the DataBase, entering new patient data, and updating existing information.

Qualifications include:

• Registry eligible or ARRT-certified Radiologic Technologist in Radiography, with certification within one year of hire.
• State licensure for Arkansas.
• Preferred certification in Mammography by ARRT.
• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program or military equivalent; additional certifications in modalities like CT, NM, PET, MRI, US are a plus.
• Preferably one year of experience as a Registered Technologist.

As a Mammo Tech at CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, you will work directly with patients, utilizing radiologic equipment to perform mammography procedures. Success requires excellent patient service, communication skills, technical proficiency, good eyesight, attention to detail, sound judgment, and decision-making skills.
