Job description

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality mammographic images that meet all licensing and regulatory standards, as outlined by the St. Vincent Breast Center Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with established policies and radiologist specifications.
• Conduct special mammography procedures, such as biopsies, wire/needle localization, following policies and radiologist instructions.
• Assist with clerical tasks necessary to complete mammography procedures in the absence of the clerk.
• Complete all documentation related to mammographic procedures accurately and promptly.
• Ensure proper cleaning and return of all equipment and supplies used for mammography.
• Record mammography data in the database, including entering new patient information and updating existing records.

Qualifications

Registry eligible or registered Radiologic Technologist certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography, with certification obtained within one year of hire.

State licensure for Arkansas.

Preferred: ARRT certification in Mammography.

Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program by JRCERT or military program accredited by JRCERT. Additional certifications in modalities like CT, NM, PET, MRI, US, or radiography are preferred.

Experience: Preferably one year as a registered technologist.

Overview

As a Mammo Tech at CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, you will work directly with patients, performing screening and diagnostic mammography procedures using radiologic equipment.

Successful technologists will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, good eyesight, attention to detail, technical proficiency, sound judgment, and decision-making skills.
