The Mammographic Technologist performs a variety of tasks involving the operation and quality control of mammographic equipment and other devices as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform all technical aspects of radiographic procedures, including breast imaging and interventional procedures.
2. Explain procedures to patients and provide quality services professionally.
3. Operate radiographic equipment efficiently to produce diagnostic images.
4. Develop mammographic films and match with appropriate paperwork for interpretation.
5. Maintain skills to complete duties timely and efficiently.
6. Assist in maintaining statistical data and evaluating patient information.
7. Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
8. Comply with quality, quantity, and regulatory standards of the facility and staffing agency.

Job Requirements:

1. Current California Department of Health License/Certification as a Mammographic Radiologic Technologist.
2. Current ARRT Certification in Radiography and Mammography.
3. American Heart Association BLS certification.
4. Minimum 5 years of experience, including mammography CEUs.
5. Two professional references.
6. Passing score on Quik Travel Staffing Radiology Examination and Skills Checklist.
7. LA Fire Safety Card.
8. Certificate of Health indicating ability to perform job functions.
9. Ability to work independently with a focus on patient care.
