Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Foundation seeks a Radiologic Mammography Technologist to perform mammographic imaging in outpatient clinics. You will prepare patients, capture diagnostic images, and document patient data for radiologist review.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining radiology equipment, with occasional work at other Greater Sacramento Area locations. Prior Mammography experience and CA licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program.
• Completion of 40 hours of structured education in Mammography.
• Medical Radiographer: CA license.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Mammography Technologist, you will perform mammographic imaging procedures in our outpatient clinics. This position is represented by SEIU-UHW.Every day you will assist in preparing patients for Radiologic/Mammography examinations and relay instructions from the radiologist, help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions, and collect patient data, documenting patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided in the patient's medical record for the Radiologist's review. You will also troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures. You may be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.To be successful in this role, you will have an enthusiasm to help others and a desire to have a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

Job Requirements

Required:

• Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program
• Completion of 40 hours of structured education in Mammography
• Medical Radiographer: CA
• Current BLS through American Heart Association (AHA BLS)

Preferred:

• One (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist
• Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment
