Job summary

Dignity Health is seeking a Radiologic Mammography Technologist to perform mammographic imaging in outpatient clinics. The role involves preparing patients, capturing diagnostic images, and documenting care in the radiology record under radiologist supervision.

Qualified candidates will have AMA Radiologic Technology training, 40 hours Mammography education, BLS certification, and CA radiographer credentials. Some travel within the Greater Sacramento Area may be required.

Qualifications

• Submit to AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent program.
• Complete 40 hours of structured education in Mammography.
• Active Medical Radiographer certification in CA.
• Current BLS certification through AHA.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammographic imaging procedures in outpatient clinics.
• Prepare patients for Radiologic/Mammography examinations and relay instructions from radiologists.
• Capture usable diagnostic images for Radiologist review.
• Document patient data and concerns in the medical record.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment.
• May work at other Greater Sacramento Area locations as needed.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Mammography Technologist, you will perform mammographic imaging procedures in our outpatient clinics. This position is represented by SEIU-UHW.

Every day you will assist in preparing patients for Radiologic/Mammography examinations and relay instructions from the radiologist, help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions, and collect patient data, documenting patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided in the patient's medical record for the Radiologist’s review. You will also troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures. You may be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.

Job Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program
• Completion of 40 hours of structured education in Mammography
• Medical Radiographer: CA
• Current BLS through American Heart Association (AHA BLS)

Preferred

• One (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist
• Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment
