Job summary

Omniscius Consulting is seeking a Vulnerability/Malware Researcher to identify, analyze, and understand complex software vulnerabilities and malicious code affecting systems and infrastructure.

The role covers malware analysis, reverse engineering, and threat research to support detection, response, and remediation efforts. Strong low-level programming and adversary tradecraft experience are highly valued in this hands-on position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–8 years in malware analysis, reverse engineering, vulnerability research, or offensive security.
• Strong OS internals knowledge (Windows/Linux) and assembly language familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform static and dynamic analysis of malware including ransomware and APTs.
• Reverse engineer samples to identify functionality and C2 communications.
• Create malware analysis reports and technical documentation.
• Identify and analyze software, OS, firmware vulnerabilities and exploit paths.
• Develop IOCs, YARA/Sigma rules, and detection signatures for SOC use.
