Job summary

RealmOne is seeking a Malware Analyst Level 2 to support the analysis of suspicious code and provide actionable guidance based on findings. You will perform dynamic and static malware analysis, generate reports, and develop mitigation techniques to protect client networks and mission platforms.

The role requires DoD 8570 CSSP Analyst Baseline, IAT Level II/III, and a GCFA or GREM certification, with opportunities for professional growth and training in a fast-paced security environment.

Qualifications

• Five years in cybersecurity.
• Three years malware analysis.
• Two years with tools like GHIDRA, SYSInternals, FireEye AX, or similar technologies.
• One year of coding in Python, Lua, C/C++, Ruby or similar.
• DoD 8570 CSSP Analyst Baseline certification is required.
• IAT Level II or Level III certification.
• CE certification requirements include Windows, Linux, Cisco, and other OS systems.
• GIAC GCFA or GREM certification is preferred.
• Splunk Fundamentals 1 training completed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct both dynamic and static analysis of suspicious code to determine malicious capability and impact.
• Analyze captured data (logs, network traffic) to identify intrusion artifacts.
• Develop and recommend mitigation strategies and detection rules.
• Generate technical reports detailing vulnerabilities and exploits used by malware.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify new threats and craft defenses.
