Job summary

Paradigm Max Q LLC is seeking a MALS Senior System Administrator to sustain Aviation Logistics Information Management System (ALIMS) at MALS-31, Beaufort, SC. This onsite role supports 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing readiness with secure, available server/network systems and trained ALIMS personnel.

The position requires active Secret clearance, advanced virtualization, and network engineering skills. It emphasizes mentorship, project planning, and responsive troubleshooting in a DoD IT environment.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience planning, implementing, and managing complex server and network infrastructures for uptime, security, and performance.
• Designing system architectures; administering virtualization environments (VMware, Linux) and cloud environments.
• Managing security functions (firewalls, backups, system protection) and automation scripting.
• Mentoring junior technical staff and supporting ALIMS/NTCSS environments.

Responsibilities

• Training & mentorship - OJT to ALIMS personnel on operation/servicing of POR equipment.
• System management & troubleshooting - manage server OS (RHEL, Windows Server) and hypervisors (VMware).
• Network & security engineering - plan, install, and operate networks; ensure compliance and remediation.
• Deployment & planning support - technical advisor for AIS POR operations and deployed environments.

Job Summary

Provides technical support and training for the Aviation Logistics Information Management System (ALIMS) at the MALS, sustaining the aviation programs of record and networks that support 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing aviation readiness and deployable capability.

Required Qualifications

• LCAT:
  • Specialized experience planning, implementing, and managing complex server and network infrastructures for maximum uptime, security, and performance
  • Designing system architecture and administering virtualization environments (VMware and Linux) and cloud environments
  • Managing security functions (firewalls, backups, system protection)
  • Developing and using scripts for automation
  • Mentoring junior technical staff
  • Managing, installing, and maintaining network infrastructure, hardware, software, and application support environments
  • Deploying LANs, securing information systems, and ensuring network connectivity in operational and forward-deployed environments.
  • Desired education/experience (meet one), H.3.2.b: 10/7 no degree; 8/5 associate's; 6/5 bachelor's; 4/2 master's; 2/1 PhD.
• Position:
  • Must perform PWS C.5.8 duties:
    • (1) Training & mentorship - OJT to ALIMS personnel on operation/servicing of POR equipment; specialized training to enable support in any operational environment.
    • (2) System management & troubleshooting - manage and troubleshoot server operating systems (e.g., RHEL, Windows Server) and hypervisors (e.g., VMware) supporting systems like NTCSS; isolate and repair faults; submit support requests to NIWC and NAVAIR.
    • (3) Network & security engineering - advanced technical analysis for planning, installation, and operation of network architectures; ensure network infrastructure projects comply with regulations and support deployed/garrison networks including external connectivity; manage vulnerability remediation and POA&M submissions.
    • (4) Deployment & planning support - technical advisor for all AIS POR operations; support employment of the Tactical Aviation Data Network (TADN) and other communications equipment in deployed environments (e.g., aboard the T-AVB).

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

• ALIMS/NTCSS experience
• RHEL/Windows Server and VMware administration
• NIWC/NAVAIR coordination
• RMF/POA&M and vulnerability remediation
• DoN/USMC aviation logistics IT environment. (Desirable, not mandatory.)

What Success Looks Like

ALIMS and supporting server/network systems remain available, secure, and compliant; faults are isolated and resolved with proper NIWC/NAVAIR coordination; vulnerability/POA&M actions stay current; ALIMS personnel are effectively trained; and deployed/garrison and T-AVB network support keeps the MALS mission-ready.
