Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. in Edison, NJ is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, tenants, employees and visitors.

You will conduct patrols, monitor CCTV, respond to incidents, and enforce site rules to protect people and property. Requirements include a valid SORA license or willingness to obtain, a valid Driver’s License with a clean MVR, a High School Diploma/GED, and 18+ years old.

• Must have reliability, self-motivation and flexibility.
• Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior areas of the shopping center on foot or by vehicle.
• Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment.
• Respond to emergencies, disturbances, accidents, and security concerns.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and policy violations.
• Enforce client site rules and regulations.
• Assist customers, tenants, and visitors with directions and general information.
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate activity logs.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and mall management when required.
• Conduct opening and closing security procedures for the property.

Security Officer

Location: Edison, NJ

Pay Rate: $19.10 an hour

Shift hours:

Tuesday - Saturday 0800-1600

Friday & Saturday 1400-2200 Sunday 1200-2000 Wednesday & Thursday 1600-0000

(Hours and days are subject to change)

Position Summary

As a Mall Security Officer, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, tenants, employees, and visitors. Officers conduct patrols, monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while protecting people and property.

Essential Functions

• Patrol interior and exterior areas of the shopping center on foot or by vehicle.
• Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment.
