Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Must be able to read and interpret schedule for daily production requirements.
  • Inspect the pre-cut vinyl, and the pre-sewn cord to ensure there are no flaws before sewing.
  • Required to always sew with the correct seam allowance to ensure that the skin will meet the quality standards of Malibu boats.
  • Must be very detail oriented. Perform standard housekeeping duties throughout the day.
  • All duties must be performed in accordance with Malibu’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

A general knowledge of operating a sewing machine; must be able to read and execute build instruction from work orders.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related work experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to read measuring devices. Basic math functions required.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two- step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
