Malibu Boats, LLC is offering a 12-month Process Engineering internship at the Loudon plant. You will assist in creating and validating new production processes for Malibu Boats and Axis Wake products, working with Safety, Quality, Production, and Design teams to drive improvements.

This internship provides hands-on experience in identifying safety and quality enhancements and implementing design changes while supporting the Process Engineering Lead.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an engineering field with at least 1 year completed.
  • CAD modeling experience is preferred (AutoCAD, Siemens NX, SolidWorks).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Support generation, validation and development of new production processes and innovations.
  • Identify opportunities for safety, quality and manufacturing process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Safety, Quality, Production and Design teams and report to Process Engineering Lead.

The student must live near or be willing to relocate within driving distance from the plant that is in Loudon, TN. Start/completion dates listed below:Start date: January 2027. Completion date: December 2027As part of Malibu’s Process Engineering team, students will have the opportunity to assist in the generation, validation, and development of new production processes and innovations for Malibu Boats and Axis Wake products. The students will work with Malibu’s Safety, Quality, Production, and Design teams and report to Malibu’s Process Engineering Lead. The position includes responsibilities that will allow students to build upon their current engineering foundation and passion for the marine industry and water sports. They will be challenged to identify opportunities for safety improvements, quality improvements, manufacturing process improvements, and implementation of new designs.#malibuboatsQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.• Minimum of 1 year towards a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, electrical, or related engineering field• Computer design experience in CAD modeling (AutoCAD, Siemens NX, and Solidworks) preferred• Microsoft Experience (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)• Strong skills with hand tools and mechanical devices requiredPhysical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
