Job Summary

Senior Helpers, the fastest growing non-medical home care provider for seniors, is opening in the Encino, CA area and looking for quality Caregivers like you. This is a part-time hourly position providing in-home care and assistance to elderly individuals in the Encino, CA and San Fernando Valley areas. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, companionship, light housekeeping, transportation, meal preparation, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, toileting, dressing, etc.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay rate is $18 to $20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include accrued paid sick days, flexible hours, career advancement training, and caregiver appreciation activities.

Responsibilities

1. Providing companionship and conversation.
2. Performing light housekeeping and household management tasks.
3. Running errands, meal planning and preparation, laundry, and linen changing.
4. Reminding clients to take medication.
5. Providing transportation and assistance with ADLs such as bathing, toileting, and mobility.
6. Preparing sleeping areas for overnight shifts.
7. Documenting activities in the Care Plan Binder, recording daily hours and services, and reporting significant client changes to the office.
8. Following all policies and procedures outlined in the Senior Helpers Handbook.

Qualifications

• Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English at an adult level.
• Willingness to submit to a background check as required by California law.
• Ability to obtain TB testing prior to working with clients.
• Valid California driver's license and ability to drive.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.
