Job summary

Nurse Next Door in Petaluma, CA is seeking dedicated Home Care Aides to join our team. We offer both Part-time and Full-time positions with immediate start, providing care to clients in their homes and supporting daily living activities.

As a caregiver, you will follow care plans, assist with ADLs, meals, and personal care, and help clients stay independent and safe. We provide training and a supportive culture focused on growth and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Experience in home care or caregiving preferred.
• Ability to follow care plans and document care.
• Excellent communication and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Execute the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Help clients with ADLs within the scope of practice for a Registered Health Care Aide.
• Assist clients with personal hygiene such as skin, mouth, hair care, bathing, and dressing.
• Meal planning and preparation.
• Perform household services including housekeeping, laundry.
• Assist clients with medication reminders which are ordinarily self-administered.
• Report changes in the client’s condition and needs to the administrator or care designer.
• Complete records regarding services performed.
• Drive to appointments or to run errands.
• Accurately records all hours worked.
• Remain alert and responsive to client needs, or call the Company for guidance.
• Participate in required training requirements.
• Maintain an active home care aide registration with the State of Ca. Dept. of Social Services Home Care Services Bureau.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the home care aide include, but are not limited to, the following-

• Remains alert throughout the shift in case client requires assistance, responds immediately to any such needs by providing the assistance required, or calling theCompany for guidance.
• Participating in all required entry-level and annual training requirements.
• Maintaining an active home care aide registration with the State of Ca. Dept. of SocialServices Home Care Services Bureau.
• Other duties as assigned by the administrator or designee.
