Job summary

Aerotek seeks a Makino Grinder Operator in Hebron, KY to set up and perform changeovers on precision grinders. You will grind outer/inner diameters with +/- .001 tolerance for aerospace parts and may use manual or CNC mills and lathes as needed.

You will read blueprints, operate grinders, and measure parts with micrometers to ensure high-quality finishes. This contract-to-hire position offers strong benefits and a climate-controlled onsite facility.

Qualifications

• Experience running a CNC machine with setups and changeovers.
• Proficiency reading blueprints and schematics.

Job Title: Makino Grinder Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a Makino Grinder Operator, where you will be responsible for setting up and performing changeovers on grinders. You will utilize precision grinders to perform outer diameter and inner diameter grinding of necessary parts, maintaining high tolerances of +/- .001, which is critical in the aerospace industry. There is also potential for using manual or CNC mills and lathes to grind and smooth metal parts, removing defects, sharp edges, and excess material.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
