Job summary

Yazaki North America is seeking a Makerspace Operations Specialist to manage the Canton Makerspace, engage associates, plan events, and drive community programming. The role emphasizes hands-on support, event coordination, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic engineering environment.

You will help develop policies, track budgets, and mentor staff while staying current with technology trends and best practices. A flexible hybrid schedule and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Business (Operations Management, Project Management, Marketing), Learning & Development, Creative fields (Product Design, Industrial Design), or Technical/Engineering Technology.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience planning events, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead Makerspace events and tours.
• Develop event plans, timelines, logistics, budgets, and policies.
• Track inventory and purchase consumables; oversee Makerspace budgets.
• Ensure 5S/EHS compliance and document workflows.
