Job summary

Hunterdon County Library is seeking a Makerspace Librarian to join the team as Librarian 1. This full-time 35‑hour/week position focuses on hands-on work, teaching classes, supporting open hours, maintaining equipment and assisting residents with their projects.

The role involves working with a dedicated makerspace team to contribute to a welcoming, safe community space, with opportunities to engage in varied projects and activities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library or Information Sciences from an ALA-accredited program or NJ college program deemed acceptable by Thomas Edison State College.
• Appointee may be required to possess a valid driver's license.
• 35 hours per week, including some nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes in the makerspace and support open hours.
• Maintain equipment and assist residents with their projects.
• Collaborate with the makerspace team on various projects and activities.

Education
