Charlie Clark Auto Group in McAllen, TX is seeking a Make-Ready Porter/Detailer to prep vehicles for delivery. You will train teammates, manage supplies, and coordinate with sales and service to ensure on-time turnover of new and pre-owned cars.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with a willingness to learn; you’ll work Monday through Saturday with some weekend hours, and have opportunities to grow within a Fortune 500–style dealership culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related experience or training.
• Candidates with a combination of education and practical work are welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist other make-ready and detail techs.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies.
• Coordinate with sales and service for timely deliveries.
• Detail client vehicles as needed.
• Adhere to dealership policies for vehicle care.
• Note any damage and file a claim within 24 hours.
• Perform quality checks on vehicles before frontline.
• Attend department meetings Mon–Sat, 11:00 AM–8:00 PM (off Wed & Sun).

Make-Ready Porter/Detailer – Auto Dealership

LOCATION : 316 S COL ROWE, MCALLEN, TX 78501

Job Responsibilities

• Train and assist other make-ready and detail techs
• Maintain inventory and order make-ready supplies
• Act as liaison between department staff and sales managers to facilitate the process for new and pre-owned vehicles
• Detail client vehicles as needed
• Maintain strict adherence to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operation
• Note damage and notify service so a claim can be filed within 24 hours
• Perform quality control inspections of all vehicles before being brought to frontline
• Coordinate with sales and service to ensure on-time deliveries
• Attend department meetingsMONDAY- SATURDAY 11:OO AM - 8:00 PM (OFF WED/SUNDAY)

Education And/or Experience

High school diploma or GED; 1 to 3 months of related experience and/or training; Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience and commensurate with Fortune 500 companies.
