Job summary

Bullitt County Public Library in Louisville seeks an energetic librarian to manage the Maker/Learning Lab, maintain equipment, and run STEM events for all ages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in computer or technology-related services.
• Proficient with MS Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• Reads and speaks English proficiently.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the Maker/Learning Lab, collaborating with Event Planners to develop maker- and STEM-related events.
• Creates a welcoming space; assists patrons with equipment and policies; leads tours and maintains a clean, safe environment.
• Trains patrons on machines (3D printers, Cricut, sublimation printer, sewing machines) and recommends improvements.
• Operates and maintains equipment, software, inventory, and supplies for the Maker/Learning Lab.
• Develops and implements new technologies, services, and projects; informs staff of updates.
• Develops a training plan for staff; tracks space usage and reports performance benchmarks.
