Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is hiring a Maintenance Laborer/Make-Ready Technician to prepare vacant units, perform light maintenance, and support daily operations in Waco, TX. The role is full-time on-site and is Temp-to-Hire, with pay depending on experience ranging from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour.

The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical skills, janitorial experience, and a strong work ethic, able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors or indoors as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in general labor, janitorial, or maintenance support.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varied environments.
• Able to use basic hand tools and perform minor repairs.
• Dependable with ability to follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance mechanics and aides in preparing vacant units.
• Clean appliances, restrooms, floors, and interior spaces.
• Perform minor plumbing, patch walls, prep and paint interiors.
• Remove trash and debris from yards and property grounds.
• Wax floors and complete deep cleaning for turnover units.
• Arrange furniture and prepare rooms for meetings or events.
• Make light repairs in vacant units including light fixtures.
• Transport appliances for repair and inventory maintenance.
• Support disposal of trash and bulk materials.
• Periodically check smoke alarms in dwellings and offices.
• Unload trash trailers and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Assist with basic carpentry tasks and oil changes on equipment.
