Job summary

Two Coast Living is seeking a Make-Ready Technician to prepare vacant apartments for new residents through painting, repairs, and cosmetic upgrades. You will work with the maintenance and property management teams to ensure turnover is on schedule and standards are met.

This role requires at least 1 year of general maintenance or turnover experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Onsite at 909 West, Tempe, AZ, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

  • 1 year of relevant maintenance/handyman experience or turnover work.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Perform make-ready tasks: painting, surface repairs, fixture replacement, appliance testing, HVAC filter changes, flooring and carpet touch-ups, and general cleaning.
  • Ensure apartments meet quality and safety standards prior to move‑in.
  • Support ongoing maintenance, preventative maintenance, and property upkeep as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
  • Interact professionally with residents and team members across the community.

Our team owns and operates properties across multiple markets and asset types, leveraging a collaborative and performance-driven culture.Position SummaryThe Make-Ready Technician is responsible for preparing vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing maintenance, repairs, and cosmetic improvements to company standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring apartments are move-in ready on schedule and that every resident’s first impression of their home is a positive one.The Make-Ready Technician works closely with the Maintenance and Property Management teams and may assist with general maintenance needs across the property as required.Work ArrangementLocation: Onsite / 909 West / Tempe, AZSchedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMOn-Call / Weekends: Occasional, based on business needsKey ResponsibilitiesComplete apartment turnover (make-ready) work, including painting, surface repairs, fixture replacement, appliance testing, HVAC filter changes, flooring and carpet touch-ups, and general cleaningEnsure apartments meet company quality and safety standards prior to move-inSupport the maintenance team with ongoing repairs, preventative maintenance, and property upkeep as neededMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company and industry safety standardsInteract professionally and courteously with residents and team members while working throughout the communityCareer Path & Next Role ReadinessThe Make Ready Technician role is intentionally designed as a pathway to the Maintenance Technician role.
