Job summary

Fairfield Property Management is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Technician to help restore vacated apartments to market-ready condition and support interior and exterior upkeep. The role involves basic plumbing, electrical tasks, appliance installation, and routine grounds care.

Ideal candidates have at least six months of maintenance experience, with preferred HVAC and pool knowledge. A valid driver's license and on-call availability are required to meet on-site needs across our Louisiana

Qualifications

Minimum six months of professional maintenance experience, preferably on a residential property.
HVAC and pool maintenance knowledge strongly preferred.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing systems, and painting procedures.
Ability to work an on-call schedule.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

Inspects vacated apartments and completes checklist regarding make-ready status.
Performs make-ready/vacant-unit tasks including basic plumbing, electrical work, drywall, and hardware replacement.
Install appliances and fixtures (stoves, refrigerators, washers/dryers, toilets, sinks, vanities).
Replace light bulbs and fixtures in units and exterior areas as needed.
Assist in property upkeep and grounds maintenance, including trash removal.
Perform pool maintenance and monitor chemical levels.
Follow Fairfield Property Management policies and safety procedures.
Observe property conditions and report issues.
Inspect and maintain grounds, plumbing, electrical, appliances and major equipment.
Assist in inventory management of tools and supplies.
