Job summary

Fairfield Property Management is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Technician to restore vacated apartments to market-ready condition on schedule and assist with interior and exterior upkeep. This role supports the property’s maintenance needs and daily operations, requiring hands-on skills and reliable availability for on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Six months of professional maintenance experience, preferably on a residential property.
• Working knowledge of HVAC and pool maintenance strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and painting procedures.
• Ability to work on-call schedule.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacated apartments and complete make-ready checklists.
• Perform make-ready tasks including basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, and fixtures repairs.
• Install appliances and fixtures as needed (stoves, refrigerators, washers/dryers, toilets, sinks).
• Replace bulbs and fix fixtures throughout units and exterior areas.
• Assist in grounds upkeep and trash removal on the property.
• Perform pool maintenance and check chemical levels.
• Follow Fairfield Property Management policies and safety guidelines.
• Inspect property conditions and report issues to management.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
