Job summary

Birchstone Residential is seeking a Make Ready Technician to prepare apartments and homes for new residents at their Birchstone community. You will perform basic maintenance and repairs, complete service requests on time, and support special projects including capital improvements.

You will work with the Service Manager, conduct inspections, manage tools and supplies, and assist with on-call emergencies while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance work or training experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with drywall, electrical, carpentry, flooring, plumbing, painting, appliances, HVAC and lock changes preferred.
• Capital improvement/remodeling experience preferred.
• HVAC Type 1 & 2 certifications and CAMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review make readies and service requests with the Service Manager daily.
• Complete repairs and improvements ensuring code compliance.
• Execute make-ready tasks within 5 business days and budget.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities.
• Respond to emergencies during on-call shifts.
• Inventory tools, equipment, and supplies; manage parts.
• Assist with capital improvement projects and special assignments.
• Attend meetings and support the maintenance team.
