Qualifications

  • 4-10 years experience working on power generators, commercial HVAC equipment.

  • Ability to lift objects typically less than 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators and HVAC equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, read electrical schematics.
  • Maintain safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA regulations.

What you’ll do
  • You will be part of an elite technician team that will work on a wide range of projects from large events, to assisting Utilities customers or being part of a turnaround team in a refinery.
  • Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or OFA systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures both on Major Projects and in service centers. Utilize mathematical formulas to calculate both nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
  • Read and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of, practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations dealing with safe operation of all equipment.
  • Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures, help design proactive notification to avoid failures and compliance
What you’ll need
  • High school diploma/GED
  • 4-10 years\' experience working on power generators, commercial HVAC equipment, and/or oil free air (OFA) compressors, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs; experience in performance testing generators, HVAC, and oil free air equipment
  • Electrical Generating System Association technician or other various certifications are a plus but not required
  • Knowledge using metering and instruments such as multi-meters, amp meters, and Hygrometers
  • Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card, valid driver’s license
  • Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
