Job Summary

The Major Market Sales Executive, Upmarket identifies potential clients with 500+ employees through prospecting activities, consults with potential clients to identify suitable Paycor products and services to solve their business challenges, and sells those solutions within assigned territories. Responsibilities include self-generating leads via prospecting, telemarketing, CRM management, and networking. The role requires expertise in large, complex deals, a thorough understanding of our sales process and product offerings, accurate forecasting, and achieving sales quotas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify potential clients in higher employee bands and complex midmarket segments through prospecting and referrals.
  • Consult with clients to determine optimal solutions for their business challenges.
  • Present Paycor products and services in person and via phone.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources.
  • Manage accurate monthly and quarterly sales forecasts.
  • Analyze client practices to identify additional sales opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed sales activity and targets.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients, including paperwork and payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with Client Services to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Record all sales activities in SFDC promptly.
  • Support new client implementation and transition with the Implementation team.
  • Complete reports and CRM updates regularly.
  • Mentor less experienced Sales Executives as needed.
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic and maintain regular attendance.
  • Uphold ethical business practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • 3-6 years of consultative B2B sales experience with a proven success record.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment without direct supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • 4-year business degree.
Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is estimated between $65,000 and $105,000, with eligibility for performance-based bonuses or commissions. Additional benefits include a flexible virtual-first work environment, equity awards, 401(k) match, paid time off, health plans, parental leave, sabbaticals, stock purchase plans, and an Employee Assistance Program.
