What You Will Do
- The MIR will provide in-depth system knowledge and field experience related to the theory of operation and troubleshooting skills required to resolve complex Patriot missile system Major End Items (MEI) electronic and mechanical problems.
- The MIR will provide day-to-day execution on the Kuwait Patriot TA program as well as demonstrate the ability to perform depot level diagnostic, fault isolation, cleanup and repair capability for Patriot Weapon System MEIs.
- The MIR must affect all electronic repairs on location with detailed system knowledge, the ability to use all the hardware and software tools currently available to Organizational and Intermediate Maintenance.
- This position also requires logistics experience as the role is to provide logistics support and services, logistics provisioning, analysis, data, and guidance.
- This position will also require tracking parts and incorporate in the Next Higher Assemblies (NHA) and assets installed into baselined Major Equipment Items (MEI).
- The logistics MIR will be the main focal point for the creation of the estimate Bill of Material (BOM) by coordinating with hardware, maintenance and other functions involved with the final priced Bill of material (BOM).
- This position is located in Kuwait.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Successful completion of a Patriot System Intermediate Maintenance Course for MOS 27X/94S/140L/916A or an equivalent course of instruction on a similar electronic system conducted by the military or the system contractor
- Demonstrated 4 years of field maintenance experience troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, and functional verifications of the Patriot Air Defense system or similar electronic systems using maintenance diagnostics, unit self-tests, BITE, tools and available test equipment
- Demonstrated experience with Department of the Army Modification Work Order (DAMWO) installations, to include system integration and checkout
- Secret Security Clearance required
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Experience creating tailored reports in Microsoft Excel from external and often compiled data sources.
- Advanced experience using inventory, maintenance, and baseline configuration control database software systems.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Experience with spares analysis and procurement.
- Familiarity with Turn Around Time (TAT) analysis.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Above qualifications plus five (5) years Patriot Depot Forward maintenance experience
- Demonstrated experience with Raytheon Quality Control procedures
- Demonstrated experience of the Patriot refurbishment, modification, and Enhanced Deep Maintenance Experience using program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management or similar business processes
- Demonstrated experience with Contractor Logistics Support
- Demonstrated comprehensive planning skills
- Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with special focus on achieving active participation of appropriate individuals across the business
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Project
- Demonstrated experience with training of team members
- Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs
- Experience living and working in an overseas location

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
