Job summary

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark, NJ invites applications for a Major Gifts Manager to oversee a donor portfolio, execute multi-year strategies, and collaborate across departments to expand philanthropic support. Qualifications

• 5+ years of major gifts or related development experience.
• Ability to manage donor portfolios and develop cultivation strategies.
• Strategic thinker with data-driven approach to donor engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of initiating donor relationships.
• CRM experience; Salesforce a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee an individual giving portfolio valued at ~$300,000+ with ~150 donor accounts and manage solicitation, renewal, stewardship, upgrade and fulfillment.
• Develop multi-year donor engagement and pipeline strategies to increase retention, upgrades and major gift prospects.
• Lead development of a comprehensive giving pipeline and move donors through levels from Membership to Vanguard and major gifts.
• Serve as strategic partner to Director of Major Gifts and senior leadership in donor strategies and proposals.
• Maintain strong donor relationships through personalized stewardship, solicitations, visits and engagement events.
• Identify and qualify high-potential donors for increased giving and coordinate with leadership on cultivation plans.
• Analyze portfolio performance and inform senior leadership with data-driven insights.
• Plan and implement quarterly stewardship activities for high-level donors and planned giving initiatives.
