Job summary

Grand Rapids Symphony is seeking a skilled Major Gift Officer to join our team and advance major gift fundraising and planned giving objectives. The role focuses on identifying, cultivating and deepening relationships with donors, with emphasis on gifts of 50,000 or greater.

This is an office-based, full-time position requiring occasional night/weekend hours. The ideal candidate has at least five years of major gift/planned giving experience and an undergraduate degree; MBA/MPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Identify, cultivate and deepen relationships with major gift donors.
• Develop and implement donor solicitation strategies for gifts of $50,000+.
• Track and assess major gift fundraising metrics and stewardship.
• Collaborate with board members and staff on fundraising initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and manage a portfolio of major giving relationships.
• Design and manage donor stewardship programs.
• Track and report fundraising metrics and outcomes.
• Coordinate with staff leadership on long-term campaigns.
• Utilize fundraising tools and technology to manage donor records.
